Powder coating curing process

Powder coating curing is a key process in film formation, directly determining the coating’s adhesion, hardness, and durability.

This process is based on powder coating. After the pretreated workpiece absorbs the powder, it needs to enter the curing equipment to complete the thermal cross-linking reaction.

The core process is as follows: place the sprayed workpiece in an oven or curing oven at 160-220℃ and keep it at that temperature for 10-30 minutes to allow the powder particles to melt, flow, and undergo chemical cross-linking, forming a continuous and dense protective film.

The core of process control lies in temperature uniformity and heat preservation time, which need to be precisely adjusted according to the powder type (epoxy, polyester, etc.) to avoid over-baking and embrittlement or under-baking and insufficient adhesion.

The curing process requires no solvents, meeting environmental protection requirements. Optimized curing parameters balance production efficiency and coating performance, achieving excellent film formation with wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
